What forms of payment do you accept?
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or account payments through PayPal are accepted. Your confidential information is handled securely.

When will I get my order?
Fabrics ship via First Class or Priority Mail with tracking and without signature confirmation. (Swatch only orders ship first class, generally without tracking.) Most fabrics will ship within 2 business days of receiving your order. Custom knit fabrics usually ship within 15 business days of finalizing your order. You will be kept informed on the progress of your custom knit item. Please allow approximately 2 to 6 additional days for delivery within the United States and approximately 5 to 12 additional days to Canada. Shipping times vary widely elsewhere. Your package will be insured through USPS or an independent shipping insurance provider. If you require express delivery, signature confirmation, or other special handling, please leave special instructions with your order, and you'll be invoiced for extra charges, if any. If the materials for your item are out of stock, please use the contact form to inquire as to whether materials can be back ordered and custom knit at no additional charge. Back ordered/custom items usually require between 2 and 3 weeks (or more), depending on the item and current schedule, plus shipping time. International customers are responsible for any and all customs, fees, taxes, and duties (associated with shipping and purchasing) to their respective countries, should they be assessed. Often customs agencies open and/or assess fees to a random selection of packages. Any customs fees, taxes, tariffs, duties, etc. that may be incurred at the time of delivery would be at the discretion of your country's tax regulations. We have no way of calculating how much these fees would be, should they occur, and are not responsible for those charges. For any additional information please refer to your local customs agency. Please note that your international order may ship in more than one package, if it's greater than 4 pounds.

Last time I ordered your shipping price was extremely reasonable, but this time I think I was overcharged. What happened?
Unfortunately, the cost of shipping has increased significantly since January 2018, especially to addresses outside of North America. If you are an international customer, I encourage you to contact us to get a shipping estimate before you place your order. For larger orders with more than one style of fabric, we'll ship your order in separate packages, if at all possible, so that no package is 4 pounds or heavier. International shipping usually is charged at a higher rate when a package is greater than 4 pounds.

Aren't your prices a little high?
Yes and no. Yes, when compared to fabrics you might find at a big box store or online from questionable sources. No, when compared to the fabrics used in luxury brands. We use only the highest quality yarns, purchased from quality producers and distributors. The fabrics are designed and developed with great dedication and attention to detail. Most fabrics are knitted at a local knitting mill to my specifications. From time to time we may offer specially purchased knit fabrics. They will always be of the highest quality, and any discount we receive will be passed on to you. All custom fabrics are machine knitted by me (Olgalyn Jolly) or another artisan. Please realize that we're not providing an everyday fabric for everybody. It is indeed a luxury item. We're happy to be able to offer fabrics in quantities as small as a half yard, an excellent size for gifts and little luxurious treats for yourself. If you have a top of the line sewing machine or serger and have never worked with quality knit fabrics, give it a try. You'll love the way the fabric looks, feels and behaves!

A special note to everyone: Before committing stitch to fabric, be sure to practice on the cutaways first, getting stitch length and width and all the settings just right. Once these are correct, working with sweater knit fabrics will be an absolute pleasure. :)

I'd like a sample of your custom fabric because I need to see the color/texture/drape in real life. Is it possible to get a swatch?
Yes, sample swatches and production swatches are available. Please check out this page to view swatch options. If you've ordered from us before and truly just need to check out another color, contact us and we'll send you a small yarn sample, up to 5 without charge.

I like your fabrics, but I don't see exactly what I want in your shop. Do you take special orders?
Yes. If you need another color of something in the shop or a variation of a swatch you've seen on my site or even something very different, we might be able to help you. Please use the contact form so we can discuss what you have in mind.

What is your return policy?
Items purchased from O! Jolly! may be returned for any reason for a full refund (minus shipping) within 15 days, if they are unused. The goal is 100% customer satisfaction. Please read our complete Shipping and Return Policy at the bottom of this page.

How do I care for my O! Jolly! fabric?
It depends on the fiber content. Each fabric is knitted of the finest quality yarns -- baby alpaca, bamboo, luscious wools and cottons, or a combination -- and comes with individual care instructions. Most can be hand washed in gentle detergent or soap. Do not use bleach. It is important never to wring a knitted item. Instead just wrap in a towel and gently squeeze out excess water. Lay flat to dry. Or you can simply have the item dry cleaned. Read more on caring for your O! Jolly! fabric on the Crafting Fashion blog.

I'm a sewist and I really like your fabrics, but I'm not sure how to sew sweater knit fabrics. What do I do?
There are a few sources of information on the web. One is my blog Crafting Fashion. In my posts I explore the tools and techniques for successfully sewing sweater knit fabrics. You can also sign up for my email list for sweater knit sewing tips, discount codes for this shop, and sweater sewing inspiration.

What sewing patterns do you recommend for your fabric?
Look for sewing patterns that are made for knits with simple shapes and a minimal number of seams. Here are some sewing pattern suggestions for the current fabrics in the shop.
